Amazephant

Amazephant remembers the contents of your drives, USB sticks and memory cards, so you can find your files and browse their folders even when the media is unplugged. A Windows app (x64); the current version works mainly offline, with a local catalog and no AI.

Why Amazephant

Where is that file again?

The problem

Photos, projects, backups and archives end up scattered across a drawer full of drives, USB sticks and memory cards. To find one file, you plug in one after another and search each one by hand.

The solution

Amazephant remembers what is on each of your drives, USB sticks and memory cards in a catalog stored on your PC. Search and browse their folders without plugging anything in, see where your file is, then plug that media back in to open the actual file.

Key features

Everything you need, nothing you don't

Catalog your drives and cards

Keep one catalog of your drives, USB sticks and memory cards, in one place.

Search and browse

Works when media is unplugged

Search your files even when the drive or card is in a drawer. Plug it back in to open the actual file.

Local catalog

Your catalog is stored locally, on your own computer.

Offline (current version)

After installation, the current version works mainly offline. Your catalog stays local.

No AI (current version)

The current features use no AI, and there is no mandatory account. Just a straightforward tool.

How it works

Three simple steps

  1. Plug in a drive or card

Connect a drive, USB stick or memory card to your Windows PC and open Amazephant.

  2. Catalog it

Amazephant records its files and folders in a local catalog on your computer.

  3. Find it, then plug it back

Search and browse your catalog even with the media unplugged, see which one holds your file, then plug it back in to open the file itself.
